Get Ready for 2023 across Yorke Peninsula event at Cooper Trails Bike Hire

The Yorke Peninsula is a stunning and diverse region located in South Australia, known for its beautiful coastlines, picturesque towns, and friendly locals.  In anticipation of the year ahead, Cooper Trails Bike Hire alongside Sea to Valley Startups recently hosted an event to bring together local businesses and organisations to collaborate and network.

The event, titled "Get Ready for 2023 across Yorke Peninsula," was a great success with 40+ people attending, garnering a lot of positive feedback on social media as well as on the night.  One guest shared, "What a great initiative!  It's so important for local businesses to come together and work towards a common goal.  I can't wait to see what exciting things the Yorke Peninsula has in store for 2023."  Another founder, Mark Smith from YPTV who live streamed the speakers, added, "I had such a great time at this event!  It was great to connect with other businesses and learn about all the amazing things happening in the region.  Can't wait to see what's in store for 2023!"

The event itself was a fantastic opportunity for local businesses and organisations to come together and brainstorm ways to promote and grow businesses across the Yorke Peninsula.  From eco-tourism to gastronomic experiences and fishing, there were many exciting ideas discussed that will undoubtedly help to promote the region and attract more visitors in 2023 and beyond.

Thanks to speakers Anne Minion from Copper Trails Bike Hire, Joanne Buchanan from RDA Yorke and Mid North, Russell Peate, CEO, Copper Coast Council, Lynn Spurling from Kernewek Lowender, Rayma Dennis from Hedonbar Brewing Company, Nick Perry, Manager Economic Development and Business Sustainability, Yorke Peninsula Council, and Alicia Guy – Branch Manager (Port Pirie) Commonwealth Bank for sharing and sponsoring the event.  Lovely food was served up by Copper Coast Chef, with Scott Perry and Wendy Perry from Sea to Valley Startups MCing the event.

Cooper Trails Bike Hire is passionate about promoting the Yorke Peninsula and helping visitors to experience all the region has to offer.  Delighted to share that Copper Trails Bike Hire, a business owned by the wonderful Colin and Anne, our very own Sea to Valley Startups clients, has been featured in the helloSA television show.  Do tune in on Sunday, March 5th, @ 5:30 pm (Adelaide time) on Channel 9 - Hello SA.  Here is a little teaser video of the show.

Childcare is one of the biggest issues affecting job creation and retention on Yorke Peninsula.  YP Council is building a multi-million dollar new childcare centre in Minlaton, and is pursuing avenues to upskill people so they can staff the centre.  Subsidised training may be available, so people can gain their qualifications at only a minor cost.  For more information, please call the YP Council Economic Development team at (08) 8832 0000.
